With the evolution of digital assistants, you should expect to see them on almost every aspect of our lives. One company that recognizes this is Microsoft and the company is courting Siri with this.
Microsoft has just pushed out a new update to Skype for iOS that will make it possible for users to send messages using Apple’s smart assistant, Siri. This update introduces Skype for iOS version 6.27.1. You will also be able to view recent Skype messages and favorites on the Apple Watch again.
Previously, Microsoft added the ability to disable Integrated Calling (CallKit) and set notifications ‘on’ to receive any new contact requests as a notification. The change-log on the App store reads, “Send Skype messages to your Skype contacts using Siri.”
New Business App
In addition to this, Skype has also announced new Skype for Business on Mac app. This app offers a better experience over the normal Skype app. In a statement, the company said, “Skype for Business on Mac is the all new client that provides great communication experiences for Apple users. Features like one-click join, edge-to-edge video, and full screen sharing give you a superior Skype Meetings experience.”
