Samsung is not having the best time with the fiasco that is the Galaxy Note 7. The phablet was launched last month and when it hit the market, it did not have a smooth ride Samsung had expected as some units exploded when being charged.

Even with the fire hazard incidents, Samsung is not about to let its future be ruined as the it is already working on its next devices. One device the company is currently working on is the Galaxy A3 (2017). We have heard about this device and even saw some of its specs when it surfaced on GFXBench.

The latest leak comes from Zauba and does not reveal much except its screen size. Zauba is an Indian website that tracks the country’s imports and exports. This means that the Galaxy A3 (2017) has passed most of the tests and all is left at the moment is to test it and that is why Samsung is taking some samples into India.

The Zauba listing reveals that three test units have been imported into India and all have a 4.7 inch display. The devices were imported from South Korea. From the listing, we have also learned that Samsung is pricing the A3 (2017) at $155 (approximately  Ksh 16,000). This price might change by the time the device is available for end users to buy.

As for specs, the Zauba listing does not confirm any but we have already seen some of these specs before including a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage space, 1280 x 720 resolution display, 12MP camera at the back, 8MP front facing one and will be powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow. These are all the specs we know so far, we will know more as we get close to the launch date.
