Before we get into the issue of Infinix flooding us with too many phones, let’s just enjoy the fact that we finally have the Infinix Hot S in Kenya. This device has been around in countries like Nigeria for almost a month now (if not longer). The Infinix Hot S is a powerful mid-ranger, and I say this because of the specs it packs. I will not go through the specs, as that has already been done by my colleague.

Inside the box you will find:
- The device (obviously)
- A wall adapter
- Flat USB Cable
- Earphones (ugly looking if I may add)
- Sim Ejector tool
- A safety booklet (There is no manual, but who reads those anyways)
The packaging is quite standard, but once you lift the device, wooh! Well built with curves in all the right places. Since it is a 5.2″ screen device, it fits very well in the hand and looks pretty good. The only quarrel I have with the device is those capacitive navigation buttons, it is time to change them already!
The highlight of this device is the design, the cameras (13MP at the back and 8MP at the front) and that fingerprint scanner. This device is targeted at the youth and with the few hours I have spent with the device I must say that Infinix know what they are doing here.
In case you are wondering, the fingerprint scanner is fast, not as fast as the flagships of today but fast enough to wow you. Just place your finger and bam!
I also got some time to play around with the camera and so far it looks promising. I will have an in-depth look at all the things I have mentioned in my full review, be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel as that’s where all the magic will be.

I can’t agree enough with you about those capacitive navigation keys. If Infinix won’t get rid of them, they should at least redesign the icons.
