Yesterday, Xiaomi teased the Redmi Note 4 smartphone through its forums (MIUI Forums). We have been hearing about this smartphone for over a month now and it looks like the company is finally ready to launch it. The teaser did not mention the Redmi Note 4 specifically but that is the only device from the company we have been waiting for so long. The teaser claims that the phone will be launched on August 25 (today).
Even though the moderator on MIUI forums did not mention the Redmi Note 4 on the forums, he talked about the Redmi Note 3 which is already on the market. This means that he was dropping hints about the Redmi Note 3’s successor, the Redmi Note 4. A few weeks ago there was another leak about a smaller Redmi 4. At this point, we are not sure which variant the company will decide to launch today, it may go ahead and launch both of them or just one.
Besides the Mi Note 4, Xiaomi is also expected to launch the Mi Note 2.
Some of the specs you should expect on the Redmi 4 include a 5-inch display with a Full HD (1080P) resolution. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 625 processor with either 2/3 GB of RAM with 16/32GB of internal storage space. This phone will come with a massive 4100 mAh battery. The Redmi Note 4 on the other hand is expected to have a 5.5-inch display, Helio X20 processor, a 13MP camera at the back, a 5MP front facing one and a 4100 mAh battery.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will come with an AMOLED display, Snapdragon 821 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage space. The phone will have a metal body and will feature a fingerprint reader on the front. These are just the specs we know so far; we will know more in a few hours.
