Asus has an event planned for August 31 where we expect to see its next smartwatch, the Zenwatch 3. If you don’t already know, IFA 2016 starts in a few weeks (on September 2nd) and the company wants to have the smartwatch out before the event officially starts. The company shared this information on Twitter with the caption, “The time for something incredible is now!”
Even though the company did not specifically reveal that it will use this event to unveil the Zenwatch 3, the caption does hint at especially with the use of the word “time”. We have already seen some smartphones and laptops from the company so we don’t expect this event to be about those, it must be about something totally different and that is why we think it’s the Zenwatch 3.
The Zenwatch 3 was also recently certified by the FCC and since we have not seen any device from the company pass through the FCC, we can conclude that the ZenWatch 3 is the incredible product that will be unveiled at the event.
Below is a tweet the company shared.
The Asus Zenwatch 2 was unveiled about the same time last year so our guess that this event will see the unveiling of the Zenwatch 3 is not farfetched. We do not know much about the Zenwatch 3 in terms of specs but we have heard that it will have a round display with a stainless steel back, will support Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi b/g/n, will charge at 5V/2A and support 10W fast charging. We will know more in a few weeks (on August 31) when the smartwatch is officially unveiled.
