Infinix Will Launch the Note 3 smartphone in Kenya in Mid-August

infinix note 3

Infinix has plans to launch its next smartphone, the Note 3, in Kenya before the end of August. This will be the first smartphone from the company in Kenya to come with its new customized UI, XOS. We had expected the Hot S to be the first smartphone from the company to come with XOS but it looks like that will not be the case for Kenya. The Infinix Hot S, which comes with XOS has been launched in Nigeria and there is still no news as to when we will get it in Kenya.

With previous launches, Infinix has always launched its devices in Nigeria before making their way to Kenya. This time things will be different and the Note 3 will be launched in Kenya first before expanding to other African markets. Benjamin Jiang who is Infinix’s Co-founder and MD will be in Kenya for the launch of the Note 3 so this might be the reason why we are getting the phone ahead on Nigeria.

The main selling point of the Infinix Note 3 will be its flash charging feature; this is probably why you may have seen the #NoteTheSpeed challenge on Twitter. Some of the other specs you should expect on the Note 3 include a fingerprint scanner and dual LED flash at the back.

My sources inside the company tell me that after the Note 3, the company plans to launch the Zero 4 and the Hot 4. It is not clear which of the two will come first but chances are high that we will see both of these devices before the end of the year. As mentioned above, we don’t know much about the Hot S and right now am not sure if it will even be launched in Kenya.

As for price, the Infinix Note 3 will be in the Ksh 13,000 neighborhood. We will update you with more information as we get it.
