Galaxy Note 5

Galaxy Note 5

Towards the end of every year, Samsung usually updates its Galaxy Note family with a new device. This year will not be different and we expect the company to unveil the Galaxy Note 7 in about 2 months from now. The current Note device is the Galaxy Note 5 and it looks like Samsung will be skipping the Note 6 as it goes directly to the Note 7. We have been seeing a lot of information about this device with the most recent one being that it will come with Android Marshmallow and not Android N.

As we get close to the launch date, you should expect to see even more leaks and rumors about the Galaxy Note 7 (or 6). The latest info about this gadget that we have has to do with its display. The leak suggests that the next Note device will come with a dual curved display. We have heard about the curved display on the Note 7 but now there is a leaked image to sort of confirms its existence.

Check out the image below.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 teaser

The teaser creatively says “Write on the edge of something great.” This does not give us so much to work on but we can take a guess and say that users will be able to write on the edge display. Every Galaxy Note device comes with a Stylus Pen and the Note 7 will not be different. If this feature is included, users will be able to write on the edge display using this pen, this will be very interesting to see. Keep in mind the above image was not shared by Samsung so you should take it with a pinch of salt.

It is still not clear what writing on the curved display is meant to achieve. We still aren’t sure if it will have a specific function. We will know more when Samsung decided to reveal the information.

Some of the specs we expect on the Galaxy Note 7 include a 5.8 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 823 processor paired with 6GB of RAM. For the camera, it will have the same 12MP unit you can find on the Galaxy S7. That is all we have so far, we will know more as the days go by.
