Back in March, Samsung started updating the Galaxy S5 to Android Marshmallow. This update was not available to all variants of the S5 in every country. The company started by rolling out the update to the Galaxy S7 models that had the Snapdragon processor, these are the SM-G900I models.
If you own the Galaxy S5 with the Exynos processor, don’t feel left behind as the company is pushing out this update to your device. This update is being pushed out to users in India according to SamMobile. This update is available over the air or through the Samsung Switch software on a computer.
If you have the Galaxy S5 and want this update, you can get it by heading over to Settings -> About device -> Software update. From here, you will be able to see if the update is finally available for your device. The update has just started rolling out so not everyone will have it at the same time.
This update brings with it all the Marshmallow goodies but may also include the May security patch which is an added advantage.
