If you own the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 you may be happy to know that you will be getting the Android Marshmallow update very soon. The Update has started seeding to the Exynos version of the Galaxy Note 4 in some countries. Some users in the US, India and Poland are reporting having gotten the updates for their devices.

This is believed to be a controlled roll out and we expect a full OTA update to start rolling out in the next few weeks or months. Samsung has been very active in getting some of its recent devices to Android Marshmallow and its finally nice to see the Note 4 (which is pretty much an old device) get updated.

The update is about 1.3GB in size and takes the OS Version to 6.0.1. This is quite a huge update and you definitely need a reliable connection to ensure no interrupted downloads.

Samsung has not said anything about this update but we know that it will be upgrading a bunch of its older devices including the Note 4 before the second half of the year.

Some users who have updated their Note 4 Phablets with Android Marshmallow are reporting that it brings the screen off memo feature which was available on the Note 5. Everything else remains the same from the design perspective and the only additions are the new functionality features introduced by Android Marshmallow.
