HTC Will Be Unveiling Its Next Flagship Smartphone, The HTC 10, On April 12

For those who have been waiting for the HTC 10, you will not be waiting for long as the company plans to officially unveil it next month on April 12. We have been hearing about this smartphone but HTC never confirmed its launch date until now. All we have known is that the company has plans to drop the ‘One’ branding we have seen on the HTC One M8 and HTC One M9 and that is why this new flagship will be the HTC 10.

HTC announced that it will be unveiling the HTC 10 on April through its Twitter account. The event will be streamed through the company’s website and it is still not clear if HTC plans to do an online-only launch. It might be both online for the public to stream and offline for those invited as it will be very strange for HTC to do an online-only launch for its flagship smartphone.

Check out the photo the company shared on Twitter.

The photo above does not give us any clues as to what the HTC 10 entails.  All we know is that the company will have an event on April 12.

Some of the specs of the HTC 10 we have heard of include a 5.15 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels giving a pixel density of 570 ppi. Powering it will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space expandable up to 200GB using a microSD card.

At the back, the HTC 10 will have a 12MP camera with dual LED flash and capable of shooting 2160p videos at 30 frames per second. The front facing camera has still not been confirmed but expect a 5MP or 8MP unit.

The phone will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense UI on top. The battery capacity has not been confirmed and all we know is that it will be non-removable.

We will know more about this smartphone as we get close to the April 12 launch date.
