The Windows 10-Powered Alcatel Idol 4 Pro Has Been Spotted On GFXBench with A 20 MP Camera at the Back

Alcatel is currently busy working on its next Windows 10-powered smartphone, the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro. We have been hearing about this smartphone for a while now but nothing has been confirmed by Alcatel so far. When launched, the Idol 4 Pro will be the company’s flagship Windows 10 smartphones this year.

The latest information about the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro comes from GFXBench revealing to us some of the specs we should expect from this smartphone when it is launched. The GFXBench listing introduces to us some specs we have not heard before and confirms some of those we have heard of before.

From the listing, we now know that the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro will have a 6 inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The listing has also confirmed that this phone will have a 20MP camera at the back with a 9MP one in front. Previous rumors had suggested that this phone was to have a 22MP camera at the back and it looks like that is not the case. The back camera looks OK but the front one may end up being an 8MP one when the phone is launched.

Powering the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro will be a Snapdragon 820 Processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space. The 2GB of RAM does not make much sense for a high end smartphone and my guess is that the true value is at least 3GB (or 4GB) of RAM. Just like the premium Lumia 950 and 950 XL, the Idol 4 Pro will support Continuum.

This smartphone is scheduled to be released anytime from today, probably before the second half of the year.
