The Alcatel Idol Pro 4 Will Be the Company’s Flagship Windows 10 Smartphone This Year

Alcatel Idol Pro 4

Alcatel is not the ‘loudest’ smartphone manufacturer out there but the company has some interesting devices that any android enthusiast will appreciate. The company launched the Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL a few weeks ago and what is unique about this phone is that you can get it with Android lollipop or with Windows 10. When launching this phone, the company revealed that it had other Windows 10 smartphones it has planned for this year.

We now have information that the second Windows 10 smartphone from Alcatel is ready to be launched anytime from today. This will be the Alcatel Idol Pro 4 and will be the company’s flagship Windows 10 smartphone this year and with that we expect some high powered specs. It will be interesting to see how it competes with the Lumia 950 and 950XL.

Some of the specs we have heard the Alcatel Idol Pro 4 will come with include a 1080p display, a snapdragon 820 processor, these are not powerful specs as what you will get on the Lumia 950 but they are perfect for any flagship smartphone. The phone will also support continuum for those who might be interested in that.

Even as Windows Mobile is struggling, it is always nice to see manufacturers supporting it. Now all is need is for Microsoft to put more effort into the ecosystem especially with Windows 10 already out there. There are chances of success as long as the necessary effort is put into the ecosystem.
