For a few months now, Instagram has been working on a new feature that many users have been waiting for. This is the feature that allows users to add multiple accounts to Instagram for Android and iOS. If you have been waiting for this, the wait is finally over as Instagram has announced that this feature will start rolling out to users as from today.
The company announced this through its official blog and this is good news since you will not be forced to use multiple devices if you have more than one Instagram account. With this latest update, you will not have to log in and out of your accounts as all that is required is to add the different accounts to your app similar to what Twitter app supports.
How to add Multiple accounts to Instagram for Android/iOS App
If you have more than one Instagram account, this is how you can add the different accounts to your single app.
- Go to the setting Menu
- Add the extra accounts you have (this feature supports a maximum of five accounts)
- Tap your username at the top of your profile to switch between accounts
To prevent you from posting photos in the wrong accounts, you will always see your profile image of the active account.
This feature is available for Instagram for Android and iOS at the moment. It is limited to the latest update (Instagram version 7.15) so make sure you get the update before you try adding multiple accounts.
