Yesterday, we saw the first official photos of Microsoft’s soon to be launched mid-range smartphone, the Lumia 850. It seems that this is not the only smartphone that Microsoft is working on the Lumia 650 which is supposed to be unveiled anytime this month. Some publications have suggested that this will be the last Lumia smartphones from Microsoft as the company will be shifting to use the ‘Surface’ branding on its smartphones. This is just a rumor and nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
Back to the Lumia 650, its first press shot has just leaked online giving us a detailed look of the phone. This leak comes from @evleaks on Twitter who has been very accurate with most of his leaks.
This is not the first time we have heard of the Lumia 650 as it was listed online last week but was taken down. This new photo gives us a front look of the phone that looks a lot like the Lumia 550 which is yet to be launched in all markets. The Lumia 650 is slightly different to the 550 as it has a metallic frame which gives it a more appealing look.
As for specs, we expect the Lumia 650 to have a 5 inch display with a 720p resolution. It will be powered by either a 1.1 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 or a Snapdragon 212 processor. This will be combined with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage space. The Lumia 650 is expected to have a 2,000 mAh battery and will come with Windows 10 Mobile.
