At CES 2016, Huawei officially unveiled its latest tablet, the Mate 8. This is the first major device announced at CES 2016 and comes with some very appealing specs as we have come to expect from Huawei of late.
The Mate 8 is the first device from Huawei this year but we have been hearing about this phablet since November last year. It comes in to replace the Huawei Mate 7 that was equally as big in terms of size and specs. Below are some of the specs of the Huawei Mate 8.

As you can see from the specs above, it is not a small device, it has a massive 6-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, this is an IPS-NEO LCD capacitive touchscreen display. The phablet itself is made of aerospace-grade aluminium and 2.5D curved diamond cut that gives it a premium finish and look.
As for its power unit, the Mate 8 comes with the latest HiSilicon Kirin 950 chipset with Quad-core 2.3 GHz Cortex-A72 and quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex A53 cores. This is coupled with either 3 or 4GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal storage space. There is a microSD card slot that can help expand the space up to 128GB.
For the camera, the Mate 8 has a 16MP unit at the back. This camera has dual-LED flash, autofocus and can shoot 1080p videos at 60fps. This is a Sony camera and so you know it is good. At the front sits an 8MP camera perfect for selfies and video calls.
The phablet comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.0 on top. As for the battery, it has a 4,000 mAh unit boasts 70% better power efficiency.
