Microsoft’s first premium devices in over 12 months, the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, have officially gone on sale in Nigeria. The phones are already available in South Africa and so Nigeria becomes the second country in Africa to officially have them. The Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL went on sale in Nigeria yesterday but the company did not reveal their retail prices.

With Nigeria out of the way, I expect to see them in Kenya anytime from today. These are the first premium Lumia devices to come with Windows 10 Mobile. They also come with some amazing specs that will get any mobile enthusiast excited.

As for the specs, the Lumia 950 has a 5.2-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It is powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space. For the camera, it has a 20-megapixel Carl Zeiss unit at the back with a 5MP one in front.

The International Retail price for the Lumia 950 is $550 (approximately Ksh 56,000).

For the Lumia 950XL, it comes with a 5.7 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space. As for the camera, it has a 20MP PureView one with triple-LED flash at the back and a 5MP one in front.

The Lumia 950XL is available for $650 (approximately Ksh 67,000).

As I have said above, am expecting to see these phones in Kenya anytime from today and I will keep you updated when they are finally launched in the country.
