X-Tigi X8 Specifications Overview and Price in Kenya

X Tigi X8

X Tigi X8

The X-Tigi X8 is one of the latest affordable smartphones to be launched in Kenya. The X-Tigi X8 is available exclusively on e-commerce site, KiliMall, for Ksh 12,299. This puts it right there next to the Infinix Note 2 that was launched in Kenya last week. If I were to choose one, I will go with the Infinix Note 2. I have already reviewed the Note 2 which you can checkout using the link below.

Back to the X-Tigi X8, it is still a relatively decent smartphone with some amazing specs. We have already reviewed the X-Tigi which you can checkout below.

Design and Display

The X-Tigi X8 has a 5 inch HD On cell touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The overall design of the phone is quite decent but has nothing exciting about it. It is not a bad design considering this phone retails from as low as Ksh 12,000.

RAM and Memory

The X-Tigi X8 has 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage space that can be expanded up to 32GB. It is very interesting to see X-Tigi include such a combination on such an affordable phone. With such a combination, you definitely are getting value for your money.

CPU and OS

The X-Tigi X8 has a 1.7 GHz Octa Core MediaTek MT6592A processor with Android 4.4.2 KitKat. At least X-Tigi decided to include an octa core processor on a smartphone below Ksh 13,000. What disappoints me is the inclusion of Android KitKat which am not very sure will be updated to any of the latest versions. Most of these small manufacturers rarely update their devices.

Camera

The X-Tigi X8 has a 13MP camera at the back with a 5MP one in front. The main camera is able to shoot full HD videos and clear photos in both low lit and well-lit rooms.

Battery Performance

One disappointing thing about the X-Tigi X8 is its 2200mAh battery. With such a battery, you will always have to charge your phone before the end of the day, sometimes you may even be forced to charge it up twice before the day ends.
