LG will start rolling out Android Marshmallow update to the LG G3 very soon

Last month, I told you about LG’s plans to roll out Android Marshmallow to the LG G3. Back then, I had indicated that this update was to start rolling out anytime from this month. If this happens in time, it will be among the first ‘not-so recent’ flagship smartphone from a top manufacturer to get updated.

It seems like LG is on schedule to roll out this update that was meant to be available anytime between December 16th to 18th. This conclusion comes after the open source code for the update was released online a few days ago.

We will be following this closely and see if LG keeps its promise and roll out the update in time. If you own the LG G3, be sure that you will get this update before the end of the year. At least you will be among the first people to have Android Marshmallow.

LG’s current flagship, the G4 already got updated a few weeks ago and it’s now time for its other devices. It is still not clear which other LG smartphones will get updated, I hope LG updates at least one low end smartphones with Android Marshmallow. This will be something cool that we don’t see many manufacturers doing.
