Ever since Google officially released Android Marshmallow, we have seen manufacturers work extra hard to get this update to their devices. So far, we have not seen a full roll out of Android Marshmallow and all we have are limited updates to specific devices in select markets.
Xiaomi wants to change this in some way as it rolls out the update to some of its most recent devices. These are the Xiaomi Mi 4 and Mi Note smartphones that according to Xiaomi’s MIUI operations manager will be getting Android 6.0 “soon”.
When updated, these will be the first Xiaomi devices to get Google’s latest update. Xiaomi went further ahead to reveal that this update will not affect its MIUI interface. This means that this interface will remain at version 7.
The company did not reveal if it has any plans to update its other devices anytime soon. My guess is that the company may choose to update its devices that were released this year, the rest of them may or may not be updated, only time will tell.
Keep it here to be informed in case of any changes.
