Lenovo is at this moment getting ready to expand its ‘Vibe’ series smartphone lineup. The company will be launching the Lenovo Vibe X3 if the teaser image it shared a few days ago is anything to go by.
The Vibe X3 will be a mid-range smartphone that will come into the market at a time when most big manufacturers are preparing for their 2016 devices to be unveiled at CES 2016. Coming to the market at this time will be very beneficial for Lenovo as it will be able to capitalize on the holiday spending spree.
The device has already been approved by China’s regulatory authority, TENAA. From its listing on TENAA, we have managed to find out some of the specs it will come with. The specs show that it is a true mid-range smartphone so am sure customers will not be disappointed.
To start with, it will have a 5.5 inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It will be powered by a Hexa-core snapdragon 808 processor which has two Cortex-A57 and four Cortex-A53 cores. As for RAM, it will have 3GB of that which I didn’t expect to find on a mid-range device. It will also have 32GB of expandable storage space.
At the back, the Lenovo Vibe X3 will have a 21MP camera with a dual-LED flash. In front, it will have an 8MP camera. Unfortunately, this phone will come with Android 5.1.1, I say unfortunately as I was expecting it to come with Android Marshmallow. I know it will be in line to be updated, but I just think it would have been nice if it came with Android Marshmallow straight out of the box.
Keep it here to be informed more about this phone when it is launched and its availability in Kenya.
