Huawei has been very active this year, launching new devices and pushing them to the end users. What sets its devices apart from those of other manufacturers is that they come with some premium specs but in most cases, cost a fraction what similar devices from other manufacturers cost.
The latest device to join Huawei’s lineup is the G7 Plus which was launched a few months ago. This device falls in the upper mid-range category and comes a few days before Huawei launches yet another device, the Mate 8. The Mate 8 is scheduled to go live on November 26 and will be targeting the premium market segment.

Back to the Huawei G7 Plus, it comes with some decent specs including a 5.5-inch display with a 1080p resolution. This display is protected with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. For storage, the Huawei G7 Plus has 32GB of expandable space.
The Huawei G7 Plus is made of 90% metal and this gives it a premium look. At the back sits a 13MP camera with a 5MP one in front. The back camera has dual-tone LED flash, an interesting feature to have. It has a 3,000 mAh battery, has dual-SIM functionality and supports 4G LTE connectivity.
Currently, the G7 Plus comes with Android Lollipop but according to Huawei, it will be updating it with Android 6.0 Marshmallow in February 2016.
