The Samsung Galaxy J3 to Be Unveiled Anytime From Today

The Samsung Galaxy J series consists of entry level and lower mid-range smartphones that Samsung hopes will help with sales in most emerging markets. The first smartphone in this lineup is the Galaxy J1 which has been around for months and its sales figures have been positive so far. Besides the Galaxy J1, Samsung has the Galaxy J1 Ace, that has been available in Kenya for a few weeks, and the Galaxy J2 that was officially unveiled back in September.

With the Galaxy J1 doing well, Samsung is about to expand of Galaxy J series with the introduction of the Galaxy J3. The Galaxy J3 was spotted on Geekbench last month and now has officially been certified by the FCC. This means that it is ready to be unveiled anytime from now.

The Galaxy J3 has SM-J3109 as its model number and from the documents from the FCC, it has been tested for 2G, 3G and LTE.

Specs

We do not know much about the Galaxy J3 in terms of specs but the little we know give us a clue of what to expect. For the display, the Galaxy J3 has a 5 inch one with a 720p resolution. It will be powered by a 64 bit Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage space.

At the back, the Galaxy J3 has an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera. It will come with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop which am sure will be upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Keep it here to be informed when the phone is officially launched and is available in the country.
