Yesterday, Huawei unveiled its new smartphone, the Huawei Honor 5X. This smartphone comes with some premium specs and was launched in China first.
For the display, the Huawei Honor 5X has a 5.5 inch one with a 1080p resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 616 processor with quad-core 1.2 GHz A53 cores and quad-core 1.7 GHz Cortex A53. This phone is available in either 2GB or 3GB variants. As for storage, the Honor 5X has 16GB of space that can be expanded further using a microSD card.
At the back, it has a 13MP camera with dual LED flash and below it is a fingerprint sensor. Huawei says that this fingerprint sensor comes with its latest technology that allows you to unlock your device in just 0.4 seconds.
At the front sits a 5MP camera perfect for selfies and video calls. Powering the Huawei Honor 5X is a 3000mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 that can get you 50% of battery with just 30 minutes of charging.
This phone supports dual SIM cards and 4G LTE connectivity.
Price and Availability
As for price, the 2GB version of the Huawei Honor 5X retails for $157 (approximately Ksh 16,000) while the 3GB version costs $220 (approximately Ksh 22,000). The phone has been launched in China and will probably make it way to international markets as time goes by.
