The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ Gets Its First Software Update

About five days ago, Samsung rolled out its first software update for the New Galaxy Note 5 to fix some bugs and improve user experience. The company is now rolling out a similar update to its other premium device, the Galaxy S6 edge+.

This update has just started rolling out to some users in Europe and India before making its way to other markets. Samsung has not given a clear guideline as to how this update will be rolling out and users will have to be patient if they do not see it in the next few weeks. It is a 138.14 MB update which is not that big considering we have seen larger updates before. This is an Over The Air (OTA) update so you will have to wait till it’s available for your device before you can get it.

Some of the improvements this update will brings include battery usage enhancements, call stability improvements, and better device security.

Keep in mind this is just a minor update and not necessarily a full OS update. Samsung is still working on updating Galaxy S6 edge+ and its other devices to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The company has not given a date as to when users should expect this update but my guess is that it will be available to some users before the end of the year.

Keep it here as we will inform you when the update is available for your device and how you can download it.
