Asking questions to gauge what your followers on Twitter have to say on certain issues has not been straightforward on Twitter. This is about to change as Twitter users will soon be able to use the site to create Polls if they wish to do so. The company has apparently been working on this feature that will be available on Android, iOS and on the desktop. No word when it will be available on the other platforms.
In a statement, Twitter said, “Now everyone can create polls on Twitter in just a few taps, people can weigh in on all the topics they care about.”

So, if you want to ask your followers what they they think about a certain issue, you can do so easily. You can get opinions on anything from what to name your car to which issue people care about the most when it comes to elections.
As a poll creator, you will be able to engage more with your audience and get to understand them better.
For those who tried creating polls before, you know how difficult it was, you had to tweet the questions and track the replies, tally hashtag votes or ask your followers to Retweet of favorite to vote. This was not the simplest approach and Twitter wants to change that.
With Twitter Polls, you can create a two choice poll from the compose box and have it remain live for the next 24 hours. You will also be able to vote on any poll and how you voted is not shared publicly.
Over the next few days, Twitter will be rolling out the ability to create polls on iOS, Android, and on desktop at twitter.com.
