About two weeks ago, Microsoft officially announced its new entry level smartphone, the Lumia 550. Microsoft announced this smartphone when it was unveiling the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL and that is why you may have not heard about it. The Lumia 550 did not get much attention as the two flagship smartphones stole the show.
Even as the Lumia flagships stole the show, the Lumia 550 is still a great device that deserves some attention. The main reason for this is that it will be targeting most emerging and developing countries such as Kenya.
Have a look at its first official video below.

The phone is powered by a 1.1 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. As for storage, the Lumia 550 has 8GB of space that can be expanded using a microSD card.
A 5MP camera sits at the back of the Lumia 550 with a 2MP camera in front. It will have a 2100mAh battery and when officially available in the market, it will be the first entry level Windows 10 Mobile smartphone from Microsoft.
