About two weeks ago, I gave you a list of Sony devices that will be the first Xperia devices to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow. If you saw the list, then you may have noticed that most smartphones there were premium devices and already had Android 5.1 Lollipop.

As for the other Xperia devices that do not have Android Lollipop yet, Sony has plans to update them directly to Android 6.0 Marshmallow by skipping Android 5.1. This move by Sony is quite impressive and for the consumers who own these devices have to be excited.
The Xperia devices that will be getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow while skipping Android 5.0 include:
Xperia M4 Aqua
Xperia C4
Xperia C5 Ultra
Xperia M5
Xperia Z3+
Xperia Z4 Tablet
Sony has not revealed when users should expect to get this update but my guess is that you should start seeing it by the end of the year. Sony has been very fast in pushing out its latest Android updates this year and I do not expect Android 6.0 Marshmallow to be any different.
