Back in August this year, Samsung launched its new phablet, the Galaxy Note 5, to the world. At that time, the phone was only available in White Pearl and Black Sapphire. Samsung has decided to add more colors to the Galaxy Note 5 lineup and they are Silver Titanium and Pink Gold.
This is not surprising as Samsung had hinted that these colors will be coming when it announced the Note 5. The statement said, “The availability and launch timing vary by markets and mobile carriers. Both devices are available globally starting from August. Both have 32GB or 64GB storage options available in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium.”
At the moment, the two colors are only available in South Korea but my hope is that the new colors will make their way to the international markets, Kenya included.
Samsung has not used the Pink Gold color before and it is interesting to see the company try something new. We have seen other manufacturers, including Apple use Gold in some of their devices and it seems that Samsung did not want to be left behind. Samsung showcased the Silver Titanium variant back in August when it introduced the Note 5 so this is not the first time we are seeing it.
Samsung did not revealed when the Silver Titanium variant will be available but confirmed that the Pink Gold model will be hitting retail stores in South Korea later this month on October 23. The Gold Pink model will be available in 64GB only and will retail at $860 (approximately Ksh 88,000). The Silver Titanium model will in 32 GB and 64 GB variants that will retail at $800 (approximately Ksh 82,000) and $860 (approximately Ksh 88,000).
