October is already here and that means we are all waiting for new smartphones from Microsoft. We have been hearing about Microsoft’s flagship smartphones that include the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL but very little has been said about its entry level device, the Lumia 550.
We now have some information that Lumia 550 will also be launched on October 6 alongside the other flagships from Microsoft. The latest photos reveal the renders of the Lumia 550 as you can see below.
The Lumia 550 will have a 4.7 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. This translates to a pixel density of 312 ppi. Powering this smartphone will be the 1.1 GHz Quad core Snapdragon 210 processor and 1GB of RAM. As for storage, the Lumia 550 will have 8GB of expandable space.
At the back sits a 5MP camera with a 2MP one at the front. The front facing camera will come with LED flash just to make sure your selfies are clear. The phone will support 4G LTE connectivity which is as usual a good thing to see in an entry level device. As for the OS, the Lumia 550 will come with Windows 10 Mobile straight out of the box.
Powering the Lumia 550 is a 1905mAh battery and the phone will be available in Glossy White or Black polycarbonate back covers.
We will know more about this phone as we get closer to October 6th.
