The Infinix Hot 2 is the first official Android One device to be launched in Africa. The phone was launched in Nigeria last month and is finally available in Kenya.
The Infinix Hot 2 officially went on sale through online retail store, Jumia, yesterday and is retailing at Ksh 8,999 which makes it very affordable considering the specs it comes with.
This is an Android One device whose main aim is to bring some pretty good specs to the low end market segment. Speaking at the device launch, Mr. Benjamin Jiang, The Managing director Infinix Mobility, “At Infinix we believe that the end-users deserve to experience the latest in trendy smartphones at competitive price.We are pleased to collaborate with Google to deliver this unique smartphone; the Infinix Hot 2. The Infinix Hot 2 (X510) has a 5 inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core Processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage space. At the back sits an 8MP camera while at the front is a 2MP camera. It comes with a 2200 mAh battery and runs on the latest Android update, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
