Last month, Asus announced the ZenFone Max which comes with a huge 5000 mAh battery. Asus said the phone will be hitting the market in October so it was not available for users to test at that time. Last week, those attending IFA in Berlin got a chance to test the Asus ZenFone Max.
The phone’s unique feature is its massive 5000 mAh battery that can keep you charged up for a while. Asus also says that you can use the phone as a power bank to charge other devices you may have.
Besides the battery, the Asus ZenFone Max has a 5.5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. This translates to a pixel density of 267 ppi. The 720p resolution is slightly disappointing I have to say but Asus says it can get you a few extra hours of battery life. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 4.

Powering the Asus ZenFone Max is a 1.2 GHz Quadcore Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and either 8 or 16GB of storage space. There is also a microSD card slot that can expand the storage space to up to 128GB.
At the back of the Asus ZenFone Max is a 13MP camera with laser auto focus and dual LED flash. This camera is able to shoot Full HD videos. At the front is a 5MP camera.
