Qualcomm is one of the biggest manufacturers of mobile processors and the company has just introduced three new processors to take over the low and mid range market segments. The New processors are the Snapdragon 616, 412 and 212 which offer slight upgrades to the Snapdragon 615, 410 and 210.
Missing from the list is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor that will power most of the high end smartphones. Probably Qualcomm is not just ready to unveil this processor but am sure they will have it out by the end of the year or early next year before Mobile World Congress.
The three processor Qualcomm has announced offer very small but significant changes. The Snapdragon 616 for example can clock 1.2 GHz up from 1 GHz of the Snapdragon 615 (its predecessor). The Snapdragon 412 has seen its speeds bumped from 1.2 GHz on the Snapdragon 410 to 1.4 GHz.
Lastly, the Snapdragon 212 has clock speeds of 1.3 GHz compared to the 210 which has 1.1 GHz.
Check out the specs these processors have below.
About availability, Qualcomm has not revealed when they will be available but expect that to be soon, probably by the beginning of next year or even earlier.
