Instagram’s web client allows you (if you already have downloaded the app and created an account) to browse through your account and interact with your friends from a PC. This is one of the main changes Instagram has introduced of late as the company wants to tap individual who are always on their computers and not smartphones.
As Instagram tries to make the user experience even better, the company has started rolling out the search button to its web client. With the search button now available on the web client, finding people, places and hashtags is now easier. The search feature has been available on Instagram’s apps ever since its first days and bringing it to the web version is a nice gesture.
With the new search feature, both hashtags and geotags will hyperlink to the hashtag page and location respectively allowing users to get what they are looking for as fast as possible. This saves some time and improves user experience.
The search button will appear at the top of the page and is currently rolling out so do not worry just yet if you cannot see it on your end. Give it some time, let’s say a week, and you will have it.
