According to the report, even though Google Play store sees more downloads, Apple App store sees more revenue from downloaded apps. The report comes from data collected from three months that ended in June this year.
The report has revealed that Android users downloaded 85% more apps from the play store compared to iOS users. This can be attributed to the huge number of Android users compared to iOS users. Even with the huge number of downloads from the play store, Apple App store saw more revenue compared to the play store.
The report revealed that the App store recorded 70% more revenue that the Google play store.
From this report, if you are a developer, you need to know what platform to target when developing apps. If you are creating a pay to download app, iOS is better while Android is suitable if you want more downloads.
