As Samsung was announcing the Galaxy A8, the company did not reveal how much it was going to cost. This lead to many people speculating and the best guess was that it was going to cost the same as Galaxy A7.

Samsung has finally revealed what the Galaxy A8 will cost and it’s not going to be cheap. According to the company, the16GB  Galaxy A8 will retail at $515 (approximately Ksh 54,000 before taxes and subsidies). The 32GB variant on the other hand will retail at $564 (approximately Ksh 58,000 before taxes and subsidies).

In my opinion, you get a better deal by going for the 64GB variant if you are to get this phone.

If you haven’t heard about the Galaxy A8, am going to look at some of its features in the next two or three sentences.

To start with, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, a 5.7 inch full HD Super AMOLED display and 2GB of RAM. The phone has a 16MP camera at the back and a 5MP camera at the front. It is running on Android 5.1 and to provide all the power needed is a 3050 mAh battery.

From the above mentioned features, do you think you will be getting this phone? For me, this is a pass, I think it is just expensive for no reason. There are better options on the market for this price in my opinion. This is a premium price if you consider the features.
