Microsoft Confirms That Premium Lumia Smartphones Powered By Windows 10 Are On the Way

It’s been long since we saw a premium Lumia smartphone. Microsoft has been said to be working on a premium Lumia device but all this was just talk as the company had not confirmed anything until yesterday. The company has finally revealed that premium Lumia devices are on the way.

According to Terry Myerson, Executive Vice President of the Windows and Devices Group at Microsoft, the company will be rolling out these premium Lumia Smartphones very soon. This is clearly good news to Windows Phone and Lumia fans who have waited for a premium device for so long.

Terry Myerson is quoted saying, “Last week we announced a focusing on our Lumia lineup, but let me be clear: soon you will see premium new Lumias designed for Windows 10.”

The premium Lumia Smartphones that Microsoft is working on are the Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL. Rumors about these two devices have been doing rounds on the internet for some time now so am sure they are the next premium Smartphones from Microsoft. Let’s look at some of the features the Lumia 940 and 940 XL will pack.

To start with, the Lumia 940 will come with a 5.2 inch screen, a Snapdragon 808 processor3GB of RAM and a 20MP PureView main camera. For the Lumia 940 XL, it will have a 5.7-inch display, a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM and a 20MP PureView rear camera.
