When it comes to updating Smartphones with the latest Android OS, most manufacturers usually focus on the high end Smartphones and forget the low end ones. This has been the trend for years meaning that those who buy these low end Smartphones have to do the updating themselves or get stuck with old versions of Android.
Samsung has been one of these manufacturers but the company is making some changes if we are to go by its latest moves. The company has started rolling out Android Lollipop update to one of its low end Smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime.
Samsung has started rolling out this update for the Galaxy Core Prime (model number SM-G360F) in Poland but I expect it to be available in other markets in the next few weeks.
As mentioned above, the Galaxy Core Prime is a low end Smartphone with a 4.5 Inch display that has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It has a 5MP rear camera, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage space. This phone is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor.
We are still not sure if Samsung will be updating some of its other low end Smartphones. Probably Samsung is using the Galaxy Core Prime as a test product to see how things turn out. If it all turns out great, expect some of the other low end Smartphones to get the latest Android versions in the future.
